Facebook - Sharing

When I post my SFI Gateway or an SFI Share-It to Facebook or Twitter, it is blocked. What can I do?

One solution to the common Facebook and Twitter URL blocking issue is to hook up your own domains to SFI and TripleClicks Gateways of your choosing.

Here’s what you need to do:
1. If you don't already have one, buy a domain for yourself that will be appropriate for promoting the Gateway you wish to use in your advertising. Note that domains can be purchased for as little as just $12.99 a year (just $1.09/month) at registrars such as GoDaddy. NOTE: You can help us a little bit with our growing server hardware costs by purchasing your domain(s) GoDaddy (GoDaddy will pay us a small commission).

2. Then, follow the simple directions provided at our new Gateway Hosting Manager page HERE to set up domain, the DNS record, etc.

3. Allow a few days for your domain to propagate.

That’s it--you’re ready to roll! And our hosting of your Gateways is provided 100% FREE.

These hosted Gateways are integrated into SFI Share-Its. So instead of using SFI4.com domains or other SFI/TripleClicks domains that Facebook and other sites have blacklisted, we automatically swap in YOUR non-blocked domain. Each time you earn a new Share-It, you can share it on Facebook, Twitter, etc. without worrying about it being blocked or having your friends exposed to a silly message suggesting you’re associating with a non-reputable company!

Other possible solutions include creating a short "cloaking" link for free from a service like bit.ly or setting up your own "forwarding link." See "5 Ways to Redirect a URL" for help or Google "URL Forwarding" for other resources.
